With gas prices increasing and the cost of electric vehicles going down, requests for licensed electrical contractors (LECs) to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are the highest they’ve ever been.

In this episode, host Josie Erzetic sits down with Trevor Tremblay, Technical Advisor at ESA, to hear his advice for LECs on the best practices for installing EV charging stations safely, from start to finish.

Grounded in Ontario is a podcast made especially for LECs, master and certified electricians along with individuals aspiring to work in the electrical trade.

Listeners hear directly from ESA’s electrical experts and technical advisors in short 15 to 20 minute episodes to discuss industry trends, Ontario Electrical Safety Code updates, safety hazards to watch out for and technical guidance.

Visit esasafe.com/podcast to learn more about upcoming electrical topics and episode release dates. ESA has also created detailed episode pages on their website that pull together all relevant content related to the topic (code bulletins, pictures, diagrams, etc.), so with a simple click of a mouse, LECs will have a one-stop shop for resources.

ESA would love to hear from you! Please submit your ideas for future episodes and/or technical questions by emailing ESA at podcast@esasafe.com. ESA will be devoting parts of future podcast episodes to responding to LEC questions.
