Introduction
Smart lighting control systems and IoT based lighting systems is the major market shift happening right now in the lighting market in all the industrial, commercial and residential sectors. In the year 2017 more than 75% of lighting retrofit tenders from local municipalities in Ontario has requested for lighting control systems. But, there is a huge gap in the education, knowledge and understanding about smart lighting systems and IoT based control systems between the electricians and the technology solution providers. This presentation is focused on the education of OEL member electrical contractors and distributors about smart lighting control systems and how to tackle this market shift. At the end of the presentation I would like to introduce Horizon’s wireless lighting control systems (Nebula lighting control systems) and how it has the market advantages over the other products in the market.
