The 2017 Canadian Electrical Awards program is actively seeking Nominations for noteworthy electrical installations across the country, as well as crowning a 2017 Electrical Safety Champion!
Projects/champions will be considered under several categories:
• Industrial
• Commercial
• Institutional
• Residential
• Special (unique project)
* Electrical Safety Champion
Sponsored by I-Gard, the Electrical Safety Champion will remain a special category within the overall awards program, recognizing Canadian companies, teams and individuals who are passionate about promoting the health & safety of electrical workers.
“There are a lot of Canadian electrical professionals doing great work, and while some jurisdictions have their own local awards program, we want to showcase this talent across Canada,” says Anthony Capkun, editor of Electrical Business Magazine.
We accept nominations from anyone involved in the electrical scope of the project, including:
• Contractors
• Distributors
• Manufacturers and their Agents
• Engineers
• Designers, Architects, Owners, etc.
Projects will be evaluated against criteria that include (but are not limited to):
• Showcasing masterful installation practices.
• Displaying passion for worker safety.
• Coming in on time, on budget.
• Application of state-of-the-art technology.
As usual, you are allowed to nominate yourself. Submissions are only accepted via the online form at The competition closes September 2017, and the winners revealed shortly thereafter.
To encourage more entries, we will accept projects that have been completed between January 1, 2017, and September 15, 2017.
Winners will be featured in the pages of Electrical Business Magazine and L’industrie électrique, and online at Winners will also receive a beautiful trophy to display, and the bragging rights that go with it.
