Westburne Ruddy Electric
This year the Provincial Office recognized Barrett Rutherford, Durham Chapter with an Award of Distinction for his ongoing commitment to the League and our chapter network across the province. Pictured left, Mary Ingram-Haigh, OEL President presents Barrett with a plaque to acknowledge his contribution. Barrett has been an OEL member for almost thirty years during which time he has been an active participant in his local chapter holding a number of executive positions including that of chapter president several times. Currently, Barrett is the Membership Director for his chapter. As well, a few years ago Barrett took the lead in re-establishing our Chapter Committee and has been Chair of the committee for the last five years actively promoting the importance of the League and the chapter network as we work to fulfil our mission: to promote, strengthen & represent the electrical industry in Ontario. Thanks Barrett for your endurance, commitment and expertise!

Lorne's Electric
This year, we renamed the Malcolm Bradt Award to Chapter Volunteer of the Year. The recipient of this award is selected by the chapter committee based on nominations from the chapters. The winner of this award is active in both the local chapter and the League in general. Right, Mary Ingram-Haigh, OEL President presents this year’s award to Eric Glahs, Lorne’s Electric. For a number of years, Eric has worn the mantle of President for two chapters, Central Ottawa Valley and National Capital. Eric saw the need to keep both chapter areas alive and, to make this happen, he willingly arranged speakers, sent out agendas, ran the meetings and, in general, kept members in both areas aware of the latest industry issues affecting their businesses. As well, Eric has been involved provincially as a member of the Contractor Committee, Contractor Advisory Council and Master Examining Board and has recently accepted the position of Director on the OEL Board. Where would we be without the strong commitment and dedication of members like Eric. Thanks for all your hard work Eric!
