| Lorne's Electric | |
This year, we renamed the Malcolm Bradt Award to Chapter Volunteer of the Year. The recipient of this award is selected by the chapter committee based on nominations from the chapters. The winner of this award is active in both the local chapter and the League in general. Right, Mary Ingram-Haigh, OEL President presents this year’s award to Eric Glahs, Lorne’s Electric. For a number of years, Eric has worn the mantle of President for two chapters, Central Ottawa Valley and National Capital. Eric saw the need to keep both chapter areas alive and, to make this happen, he willingly arranged speakers, sent out agendas, ran the meetings and, in general, kept members in both areas aware of the latest industry issues affecting their businesses. As well, Eric has been involved provincially as a member of the Contractor Committee, Contractor Advisory Council and Master Examining Board and has recently accepted the position of Director on the OEL Board. Where would we be without the strong commitment and dedication of members like Eric. Thanks for all your hard work Eric! |
